October 4, 1993 — October 1, 2026

On October 1, 2026, Jermaine Eugene Anderson, Jr. (JJ), a beloved son, grandson, husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on October 4, 1993, in Dayton, Ohio, JJ brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. JJ was the devoted son of Roberta Toniatte Bryant and the late Jermaine Eugene Anderson, Sr. He was a loving brother to Vanessa and Andre Dion Powe, Jr., and loving uncle to his niece Harmony. He was predeceased by his siblings Jemar and Alyssa, grandfather Michael Robert Caldwell, Sr. and father who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. His beloved grandmother, Ethelene Bryant-Caldwell, was a guiding light in his life, and he shared a close bond with his aunts Marraysha and Rachel, and uncles Ray and Jimmy. JJ will be fondly remembered by his numerous cousins, including DeVonte, Latavia, Cortney, James, Jaraeya, Kadyn, Kwes, Cicely, Bryan, Nicholas, Jasmine, Ronnee, and a host of other relatives and close friends. JJ was a dedicated family man, who loved his wife Melanie and their two beautiful children, Isabella and Isaiah, with all his heart. Their happiness was his greatest joy, and he worked tirelessly to provide a loving and nurturing environment for his family. JJ's love for his family was evident in all he did, and his legacy will live on through them. Athletic and spirited, JJ had a passion for sports, particularly basketball. Whether on the court or cheering from the sidelines, his enthusiasm was infectious. He found joy in the camaraderie of the game and the friendships it fostered. A service to celebrate JJ's life will be held on October 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 70 Hollencamp Avenue, Dayton, OH 45417. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the memory of a man who touched so many lives with his kindness and warmth. JJ will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
