In loving memory of Jeremy Scott Delavieux, who passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, after a long and courageous battle. Born on February 25, 1989, in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Jeremy brought light and joy to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jeremy's life was a testament to the power of education, service, and love. A proud graduate of Chicago Heights High School in 2006, he pursued higher education with vigor, earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Chicago. His quest for knowledge led him to the Sorbonne University in Paris, where he specialized in International Business in 2015, culminating in a doctorate from the prestigious Harvard School of Business in 2021. Before embarking on his successful career, Jeremy served his country with honor in the US Army from 2007 to 2009. His professional journey saw him excel as a Regional Director for Fidelity Investments for the past eight years. Jeremy was also a savvy entrepreneur, skillfully navigating the worlds of cryptocurrency and property investment. Jeremy found joy and fulfillment in his personal life as well, sharing a deep and abiding love with his partner of five years, Richard D’Amico. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and laughter. He was a cherished son to Jeremy and MaryAnn Delavieux, and leaves behind a close-knit family, including cousins Elaine, Richard, Marion, Angela, Kristopher, Beau, and Alexander. His chosen family of best friends—Louis, Jesus, Tyler, Michele, Dameon, and Maximillian—stood by him as brothers in love. Jeremy’s circle of friends, extensive and diverse, was a testament to the generous spirit and kindness that defined his life. Jeremy was not only an accomplished professional but also an active community member. He was a proud member of the Elite Rotary Club of Chicago, where his leadership was both respected and admired. His passion for travel took him to over 40 countries, enriching his life and broadening his horizons. Known for his radiant smile and boundless generosity, Jeremy was a tireless volunteer, dedicating his time to animal shelters across the Chicago area. His compassion for animals was a defining aspect of his character, and he inspired many to join him in this cause. A service to celebrate Jeremy’s life will be held on November 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Katherine Funeral Home and Crematorium Services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago, an organization close to Jeremy’s heart.
