Jeramia was born on January 29, 1981, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to loving parents Amy and Joshua. Jeramia's journey through life was one marked by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. From an early age, his vibrant personality and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around him. He was known for his warmth, his ability to listen, and his deep sense of empathy, qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A devoted father, Jeramia's greatest pride and joy was his beloved son, James. He cherished every moment spent with James, guiding him with love and wisdom, and instilling in him the values of integrity and compassion. Their bond was truly special, and Jeramia's legacy will live on in the heart of his dear son. Jeramia's professional life was a testament to his dedication and hard work. He excelled in his career, always eager to help others, and was admired by his colleagues for his professionalism and generosity. Outside of work, he was an avid supporter of local community events and enjoyed volunteering his time to help those in need. In honor of Jeramia's life and his contributions to the community, a memorial service will be held on August 24, 2026, at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Jeramia are invited to gather and celebrate the remarkable life he led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to Jeramia's giving nature and his commitment to helping others. Jeramia Raines leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
