Her journey was marked by an enduring commitment to care and compassion, having dedicated 30 years of her life to nursing in various communities across Brisbane, Melbourne, Lismore, and the Northern Territory. Her professional life was a testament to her deep-seated desire to heal and nurture, a calling she fulfilled with both grace and diligence. Jenny's personal life was equally rich and fulfilling. She found a soulmate in Marjorie Prosser, and together they shared 42 beautiful years before solidifying their union in marriage. Their enduring love was an inspiration to many, a partnership built on mutual respect, shared dreams, and unwavering support. A loving and devoted mother, Jenny is survived by her beloved daughters Rebekah, Nat, Tam, Summah, and Tilly, who each carry forward her spirit and values. Her grandsons, Jett and Kiarn, were the apples of her eye, and she cherished every moment spent nurturing their young lives. Jenny's life was touched by the profound loss of her daughter Erin, yet she remained a pillar of strength for her family, exemplifying resilience and stoicism. Her mother, Claire, instilled in her a foundation of love and kindness, qualities that Jenny passed down to her children and fostered in countless others through her role as a foster parent. A lover of music, gardening, and arts and crafts, Jenny found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her quick wit and loving spirit brought laughter and warmth to those around her. She was forgiving and kind beyond measure, always ready with a patient ear and a soothing word. Though her passing leaves an unfillable void, Jenny's family finds solace in the countless memories they shared and the indelible mark she left on their lives. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her memory. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Lismore for their compassionate care during Jenny's final days. Their dedication and kindness provided comfort and support during a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Jenny’s name to a charity of choice, continuing her legacy of giving and compassion.
