Jennifer Suzanne Davis

September 5, 1966 — March 22, 2026

With profound sadness and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Jennifer Suzanne Davis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on March 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was 59 years old. Jennifer was born on September 5, 1966, in Whittier, California, to Jim and Ann Johnson. She was the cherished daughter of parents who predeceased her, alongside her infant brother, Jeff. Despite the early loss, Jennifer's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family and community. In 1984, Jennifer graduated from Kingsburg High School and pursued her higher education at the College of the Sequoias. She later earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Westmont College in 1988. Her career was characterized by compassion and dedication, working as a hospital discharge planner and, most recently, as a middle school librarian. Her work was not just a job but a calling, allowing her to touch and inspire countless lives. On March 11, 1989, Jennifer married her soulmate, Doug Davis, with whom she shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes their cherished children: Sarah Weber and her husband Nate, Luke Davis and his wife Maddie, Becca Swenning and her husband Nick, and Anna Grace Davis. Jennifer was the proud and doting grandmother to six grandchildren: Willow, Kennedy, and Sawyer Swenning; Birdy and Pearl Weber; and August Davis, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Jennifer is also survived by her devoted brothers, Brent Johnson and Darin Johnson, who, like everyone who knew her, will remember her infectious smile and the intentional kindness she showed to everyone she met. Indeed, Jennifer was known as one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of the Kingsburg Evangelical Covenant Church. Jennifer dedicated over 20 years to volunteering with Joni and Friends, a family disability ministry, where she shared her love of Jesus and her deep compassion for families living in great need. Her hobbies reflected her nurturing spirit, from her love of gardening and walks with friends and family to attending every game and event her children participated in. Bible study was a passion for her, a time when she could deepen her faith and share her wisdom with others. A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Kingsburg Evangelical Covenant Church, located at 1490 Lincoln St, Kingsburg, CA 93631. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/@kingsburgcovenantchurch7052. The Davis family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Jennifer's care team, Loving Hands in Home Care, and Dr. Trevino, for their compassionate support during her final days. Jennifer Suzanne Davis leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
