It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jennifer Peralta Jones, who left us on August 31, 2026, at the age of 53. Jennifer was born on June 10, 1973, in Los Angeles, California. She was the cherished daughter of Roberto and Cheryl Peralta and was predeceased by her father, Roberto Peralta.
Jennifer’s journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and dedication. She was the devoted wife of Cornelius Jones, whom she married on October 19, 2002, in Houston, Texas. Together, they shared 25 wonderful years, building a family and a lifetime of treasured memories. Jennifer was a loving mother to her children Todd Peralta, Brittany Mendes, Cornelius Jones Jr., Rylie Jones, and Kennedy Jones. She delighted in the presence of her grandchildren, King Jones, Asire Jones, and Messiash Jones, and cherished every moment spent with them.
A pillar of warmth and wit, Jennifer was known for her quick humor, generous heart, and joyful spirit. She dedicated many years as a stay-at-home mom, nurturing her children until the youngest entered high school. Her commitment to family was matched by her faith and community involvement as an active member of the LDS Church, where she served as a girls camp leader, inspiring young women with her kindness and leadership.
Jennifer's love for reading and traveling to different places enriched her life and those around her. She shared countless adventures with her family and friends, creating a tapestry of beautiful memories that will forever be cherished.
Jennifer is survived by her loving spouse, Cornelius D. Jones , her mother, Cheryl Peralta, her children, grandchildren, and her siblings, Elisabeth DuBois, Deborah Patterson, Michael Peralta , Rebecca Rodriguez, Caroline Cisneros , and Jessica Zahlmann. She also leaves behind a host of family and close friends who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service to honor Jennifer's life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Church We invite those who knew and loved Jennifer to join us in celebrating her remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Battered Women's Shelter in Houston, TX, in Jennifer's memory.
Jennifer Peralta Jones will be remembered for her laughter, her love, and her unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
