September 26, 1975 — October 11, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jennifer L. Wescott, who left this world peacefully in her sleep on October 11, 2026. Born on September 26, 1975, in New Jersey, Jennifer brought warmth, compassion, and an unyielding spirit to those fortunate enough to have known her. Jennifer was a beacon of love and kindness, a beautiful wife, a devoted mother, and a cherished Mimi to her grandchildren. Her heart was full of love and laughter, and she possessed a heart of gold that touched everyone around her. She is survived by her beloved wife, Barbara Wescott, who cared for her with unwavering devotion. Jennifer's legacy continues through her parents, Barbara Kingsley and Rene Febres, her children Nessa, Sheldon, and Even, and her daughter-in-laws, Kaylee and Crystal. She delighted in her role as a grandparent to her three grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her family extended beyond blood, including her best friend Daryl Briggs, father of her children, and Alex, a close family friend. Jennifer was predeceased by her stepmother, Carolyn Febres, and she carried forward many of her loving qualities. Her educational journey took her through college and led her to a fulfilling career in the ER at Ellis Hospital, where her caring and gentle nature shone brightly. Her dedication and compassion were felt by many patients and colleagues over the years. A woman of faith, Jennifer believed deeply in God and found joy in gospel music. Her soul resonated with the melodies she loved to sing, and she found peace and creativity in her love for crocheting. Her personality was a harmonious blend of loving, caring, and giving qualities, making her a beloved figure in her community. In the words of her wife, Barbara, "I was not only Jen's wife; I took very good care of her always. She's my world. I will love her forever and always and beyond. I'm lost for words at how much I miss her." Jennifer will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and love will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends. In honor of Jennifer's memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or an organization that resonates with her love for music and caregiving. May her soul rest in eternal peace and her memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
