Jennifer Day Thornburg, born on April 23, 1980, in Gaston County, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, at Atrium Hospital in Pineville, NC. surrounded by her beloved family and loved ones. Jennifer was the beloved daughter of Chuck and Lisa Francis. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Alexander Day, her maternal grandfather, Arthur Edward Coker, and her paternal grandparents, David Alexander Day, Sr. and Ruth Carver Day. Jennifer is survived by her children, Taylor Thornburg Pressley and her son-n-lawJonsthan, Kaitlyn Renee Thornburg, and Kyle Scott Thornburg. Fiancé Ivan "Tug" Truitt, grandchildren Levi and Rosemary. Brother, Joshua R. Day, Maternal grandmother, Pauline Hinson. In addition she is survived her extended family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. A proud alumna of South Point High School in Belmont, NC, Jennifer continued her education at Gaston College. Her professional life was marked by her passion and dedication. Since 2022, she served with distinction as a Client Services Ambassador for Saddle Rock Legal Group and Duddy & Czarnecki PLLC. Jennifer played a pivotal role in building a team from the ground up, becoming an indispensable part of the company. Her colleagues will remember her not only for her exceptional work ethic but also for the genuine care and warmth she brought to the workplace. Jennifer was an avid dirt track racing fan with a love for the beach, the mountains, and traveling. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family and friends. Known for her loving personality, she was fiercely loyal and supportive, always ready to stand by those she loved. Her family and friends were the heart of her world, and she loved them with an intensity that was both profound and unwavering. A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held on July 20, 2026, at 6:00 PM at The Barn at Blue Sky Farm, located at 556 Blue Sky Dr, Dallas, NC 28034. Her family invites all who knew her to join in honoring her memory and sharing in the love that she spread so generously. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, in Jennifer's memory. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. As we bid farewell to Jennifer, we hold onto the comforting words shared by her family: "Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you, until we meet again."
