In Loving Memory

Jennifer Tanner
April 17, 1956 — June 14, 2026
In loving memory of Jennifer Ippoliti, a beloved wife, sister, and friend to many, who passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, after a courageous seven-year battle with Alzheimer's. Born on April 17, 1956, in Sikeston, Missouri, Jennifer's life was a tapestry woven with kindness, laughter, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jennifer was the cherished daughter of Janice and Ned W. Tanner Sr., who have predeceased her, along with her brother, Ned W. Tanner Jr. Despite these profound losses, Jennifer's heart remained open and full of love, especially for her devoted husband, J.D. Ippoliti, whom she married on February 9, 2019. Their union was a testament to joy and companionship, and they shared a bond that was as deep as it was enduring.
A proud graduate of Sikeston High School's Class of 1974, Jennifer pursued higher education at Southeast Missouri State University. Her academic journey was marked by a thirst for knowledge and a commitment to personal growth, traits that she carried throughout her life.
Jennifer's passions were as diverse as they were profound. An accomplished flutist, she found solace and joy in music, often filling her home with melodies that seemed to echo her gentle spirit. Her talents did not stop at music; Jennifer was also a champion country western dancer in Houston, Texas. Her grace on the dance floor was only matched by the warmth of her smile, which could light up any room.
Those who knew Jennifer describe her as the kindest person you would ever meet. She had an innate ability to see the good in everyone and was known for her genuine laughter that could uplift even the heaviest of hearts. Her kindness was not just a trait but a way of life, and it left an indelible mark on all who encountered her.
Though Jennifer did not have grandchildren, her legacy of love and kindness extends far beyond her immediate family. She leaves behind a community of friends and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
In honor of Jennifer's life and her battle with Alzheimer's, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Contributions can be made at https://give.curealz.org/fundraiser/7356889, supporting ongoing research and efforts to combat this challenging disease.
As we gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of Jennifer Ippoliti, we remember her not only for the gentle music she brought into the world but also for the kindness and laughter that will continue to resonate in our hearts. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
