In Loving Memory

Jennifer Morris
February 14, 1982 — October 14, 2026
Jennifer Morris, born on February 14, 1982, in the charming town of Hawthorne , left this world on October 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her life, rich with love and laughter, was a testament to her resilience and unwavering spirit.
Jennifer was a beloved partner to Arthur Shepherd, with whom she shared a beautiful nine-year journey filled with countless memories and adventures. Their love was one of wildness and freedom, a beacon of joy in their lives.
A loving mother and grandmother, Jennifer's heart belonged to her children, Alexia Black and Makayla Shepherd, and her six cherished grandchildren: Addison, Davide Jr., Douglas Jr., Liam, Braxton, and Ashley. Her family was her pride and joy, and she relished every moment spent with her "grandbabies," as she fondly called them.
She was predeceased by her parents, John W. Peavy and Robin L. Saunders, and her dear siblings, John S. Peavy and Amanda Peavy. Her legacy continues through her surviving siblings, Pamella Spinnie, Glen Molander, and Monica Davis, who will forever remember her as a beacon of light in their lives.
Jennifer attended Vanguard High School and later pursued further education to earn her GED and CNA. She dedicated seven years to her work at a gastroenterology practice before following her passion for horticulture, establishing a successful gardening career. Her gardens were a testament to her nurturing nature, much like the way she cared for her family and friends.
In her leisure, Jennifer found peace in nature. She was an avid fisher, loved taking long walks on the beach, and adored feeding the squirrels and birds in her garden. Her infectious smile could light up an entire room, and her ability to see the good in people was a gift to everyone who knew her.
A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Carney Island. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join in remembering a life well-lived and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
Jennifer Morris's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, forever cherished and never forgotten.
