In loving memory of Jeffrey Thomas Underwood, who departed this world on March 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on December 22, 1963, in Homestead, Florida, Jeff was the beloved son of the late Thomas Clayton Underwood and JoAnn Underwood. His journey through life was marked by an unwavering devotion to his family, an adventurous spirit, and an infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. Jeff was a devoted husband to Jana, his soulmate and partner in life for 42 beautiful years. Together, they built a loving home first in Florida and later in Tennessee, where they created a sanctuary filled with warmth and joy. Their enduring love was a testament to their shared dreams and unwavering support for one another. As a father, Jeff's pride in his children knew no bounds. He was a guiding light to his sons, Carter and Clayton, instilling in them the values of integrity, kindness, and perseverance. Although predeceased by his son Carter, Jeff's love for him endured in his heart, and his memory was cherished every day. His surviving son, Clayton, along with his wife Callie, brought immense joy to Jeff's life, blessing him with two grandsons, Jaxson and Wyatt, who were the apples of his eye. Jeff was surrounded by the love of his siblings, Rick (Donna) Underwood and Vickie (Dean) Iacano, with whom he shared countless adventures and lifelong bonds. His siblings were not just family but also his closest friends, and their shared memories will forever be treasured. An avid outdoorsman, Jeff found solace in the tranquility of nature. He was happiest when fishing or hunting, immersing himself in the beauty of the world around him. He cherished moments spent driving around his property, watching his grandkids play, their laughter echoing the joy he found in life. Jeff's presence was a gift to all who knew him. His quick wit and hearty laughter ensured there was never a dull moment in his company. He had an innate ability to bring people together, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie wherever he went. His legacy is one of a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering zest for life. In accordance with his family's wishes, a private funeral service will be held to honor Jeff's life. As we bid farewell to a remarkable husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, we hold dear the memories of his love, his laughter, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Though he has departed from this earthly realm, Jeffrey Thomas Underwood's spirit will forever live on in the stories we share and the love we carry forward. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of the heavens, just as he embraced the beauty of life.
