January 31, 1953 — June 14, 2026
Jeffrey L. Jenkins, an endearing soul known for his infectious smile and warm spirit, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Disease and Parkinson’s. He was 73 years old.
Born on January 31, 1953, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Jeffrey was the beloved son of J.F. and Louise Jenkins. He carried the values of his upbringing—kindness, resilience, and dedication—through every step of his journey.
A devoted family man, Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Becky Jenkins, and his cherished daughters, Abby Jenkins and Lauren Jenkins Chung and four treasured grandchildren. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters, Lori Macdaniel and Connie Yates.
A proud alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University, Jeff began his career in sales in his hometown before relocating to Tampa in 1986. His career flourished at Engraving Systems in Dade City, Florida, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 2018. Jeff was not just a colleague but a friend to many, known for his unwavering work ethic and penchant for cracking a joke to lighten any moment.
Jeff was an active member of the community, serving with pride in the Kiwanis Club and contributing his time to the Bob Sierra YMCA board and the Metro board of Tampa for many years. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a devoted member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Tampa from 1995. As Senior Warden and Vestry member, Jeff’s welcoming presence at the church doors on Sunday mornings made newcomers feel at home, and many credit him as the reason they stayed.
A passionate sports enthusiast and athlete, Jeff thrived as an avid runner, triathlete, and golfer.
A celebration of Jeffrey's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, located at 13312 Cain Road, Tampa, FL 33625.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jeffrey’s memory to organizations supporting research for Lewy Body Disease and Parkinson’s, continuing his fight to help others battling the same challenges.
