With heavy hearts and profound respect, we celebrate the life of Jeffrey Glen McDade, who passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on May 26, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, Jeffrey was a beacon of love and charisma to all who knew him. Jeffrey was the beloved son of Alice and Johnny McDade, both of whom preceded him in death, alongside his cherished siblings Stonette and Fabian McDade, and his dear brother-in-law Flynn Bradley. He is survived by his devoted fiancée, Phillistine, his loving son, Jeffrey McDade, and his daughters, Jennifer McDade and Ashley Leath-Bradley. Jeffrey was a proud grandfather to five beautiful grandchildren: Nakaiyah, Nycholas, Nathaniel, and Oakley, who were the light of his life. His legacy also lives on through numerous nieces, nephews, and many adopted children who considered him their own. Jeffrey was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with passion and purpose. Throughout his career, he wore many hats – from being a Yard Coach and cook for the Los Angeles Unified School District to owning and operating a successful moving and hauling company for over two decades. Even after retirement, his nurturing spirit led him to return to the workforce as a healthcare aide, providing care and comfort to the elderly and disabled. An active member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research, Jeffrey dedicated over ten years to serving his community, participating in numerous committees and making a lasting impact on those around him. His contributions to the L.A. City Parks and Recreation as a volunteer coach reflected his love for sports, particularly football, and his commitment to mentoring young athletes. Jeffrey's hobbies mirrored his love for life; he found joy in coaching, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. His culinary skills, especially his grilling, were renowned and appreciated at every gathering. His charismatic and loving nature endeared him to all, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness. A celebration of Jeffrey's life will take place on August 1, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Pan Pacific Park. Family, friends, and all whose lives Jeffrey touched are invited to join in honoring his remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jeffrey's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong dedication to helping others. Jeffrey Glen McDade will forever be remembered for his generous heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for those around him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
