With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Dewayne Brasher, who departed this world on March 6, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on July 12, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jeffrey was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend who left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Jeffrey was the cherished son of the late Elbert and Lizzie (Hill) Brasher. He was also predeceased by his brother, Fred Hill, and his nephew, Tavein Brasher. Despite the losses he faced, Jeffrey's life was a testament to resilience and love. He found joy and strength in his surviving family members: his devoted wife, Felica (Gavia) Brasher, his beloved daughters, Auyne and Jazmine Brasher, and his caring sister, Tahara Brasher, alongside her partner, Christopher Covington. Jeffrey's legacy continues through his five treasured grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. A proud alumnus of Crispus Attucks High School, Jeffrey graduated in 1985. Following his education, he embraced life with an adventurous spirit, exploring various careers that ranged from asphalt labor to warehouse roles, and eventually venturing into self-employment. His work ethic and determination were evident in every endeavor he pursued, reflecting his belief in the dignity of hard work and dedication. Jeffrey's passions extended beyond his professional life. Known for his love of gym shoes, he was a collector who cherished each unique pair. Yet, it was his family that formed the heart of his world. Jeffrey delighted in spending quality time with them, often around the warmth of a home-cooked meal. Those moments, filled with laughter and love, were the memories he held most dear. A service celebrating Jeffrey's remarkable life will be held on March 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Stuart Mortuary, located at 2201 N Illinois St. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Jeffrey's memory, sharing stories and offering support to one another during this difficult time.
