Jeffrey Dale Klass, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 7, 1959, in Thomasville, North Carolina, Jeffrey was the cherished son of the late Patricia Klass and Darrell Meyers. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his grandparents Walter and Daisy Klass.
Jeffrey was a man who treasured his family above all else, creating countless special memories with each member. His warmth and kindness knew no bounds, and his legacy is one of love and devotion. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Loretta Klass, who was his partner in life and love. Together, they shared many adventures, from tranquil mountain retreats to sun-soaked days at the beach.
Jeffrey was the proud father of Mandy Klass, married to Brian Locklear, Tracy Klass, and Walter Klass, married to Emileigh Klass. He was a doting grandfather to his grandsons Nicholas Floyd, Michael Locklear, and Matthew Locklear, and his granddaughters Emma Klass and Bailey Klass. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and his influence and love will continue to guide them.
He is also survived by his sister, Cynthia Vertefeuille, married to Michael Vertefeuille, as well as a circle of cousins who enriched his life, including Terry Rogers, Kandra Allen, LeAnne Owens, Mason Owens, and Eric Cody, married to Shannon Cody. Jeffrey was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, whose memories he cherished: Richard and Esther Klass, Gary Joe and Rebecca Klass, Sandra and Charles Cody, and Wilma Rogers.
Jeffrey was a man of integrity, known for his gentle spirit, and his ability to bring people together. He was a figure of strength and compassion, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. His family remembers him for his infectious laughter, his loving guidance, and his unwavering support.
Jeffrey Dale Klass's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed, but the love he shared with his family and friends will continue to shine brightly, just as he did throughout his life.
