In Loving Memory of Jeffery Wayne Savage Sr. It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of Jeffery Wayne Savage Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Jeff departed this world peacefully on March 25, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family, bringing closure to a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those he cherished. Born on July 26, 1957, in Pensacola, Florida, Jeff was a treasured gift to his parents, Sammy and Thelma Savage. The lessons of kindness, humility, and hard work instilled by his parents shaped the man he would become. Though his mother, Thelma L. Savage, predeceased him, her spirit lived on in Jeff's enduring compassion and generosity. Jeff's life was beautifully intertwined with that of his cherished wife, Barbara Savage. Their love story began in Pensacola, where they married on July 19, 1980, embarking on a journey of love and partnership that spanned 45 incredible years. Together, they built a loving home, raising their three children, Jeffery Jr., affectionately known as "BJ," Gwendalynn, and Dwight. Their love extended beyond their immediate family as they embraced five nieces and nephews, raising them as their own. A proud graduate of Woodham High School class of 1976, Jeff pursued his passion for cars, earning his certification as a Corvette Specialist and ASE Master Mechanic. His remarkable career spanned over 50 years, where he poured his heart into his work at Leo's Corvette Automotive. Jeff's skills were legendary, and he delighted in sharing his knowledge with his children, grandchildren, and anyone eager to learn. A master of all trades, Jeff was never one to shy away from a challenge. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jeff found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an active member of New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He embraced hobbies that showcased his creativity, from woodworking to spinning records at the local Waffle House. Whether solving puzzles, shooting billiards, or watching westerns with his brother, Jeff found happiness in the company of loved ones. Jeff was a man of warmth and generosity who possessed an innate ability to connect with people. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. His legacy of kindness and friendship will endure in the hearts of many. Jeff's memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, Barbara Savage, and his loving children, Jeffery Jr. "BJ" (Jahna) Savage, Gwendalynn Savage, Dwight Savage, and Daniel L. Knight II. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his seven grandchildren: Jonathan (Heather) Roman, Elijah "Bun" Savage, Jada Savage, Parker Knight, Jamir Diaz, Mehki Diaz, and Jeffery III "Trey" Savage. Jeff's siblings are Doug (Vernell) Savage, Mitchell (Tracy) Savage, Sylvester "Skeet" Savage, and Annease (Calvin) Clay. Aunt and Uncles: Essie Powell, Jessie Reuben, Bertha Savage, Earl (Sandra) Savage, David Lee Sanders, Mary Alice Robbins, Sallie (William "Skip") Shoemo, and Sadie B. Sanders. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews will continue to celebrate his life and carry his memory forward. A service to honor and celebrate Jeff's life will be held on April 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, located at 4751 Chumuckla Hwy, Pace, FL 32571. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance and thanksgiving for a life well-lived. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sherif Ibrahim and the dedicated staff at Baptist Oncology, as well as the ninth-floor team of Baptist Hospital. Special thanks to Aunt Bertha Savage for her unwavering love and support. Jeffery Wayne Savage Sr. touched countless lives with his kindness and generosity. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. As we bid farewell, we celebrate a life of love, laughter, and enduring legacy.
