With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jefferey David Anton, who left this world unexpectedly on March 26, 2026, at the Addison Heights Rehabilitation Center in Monclova, Ohio. Jeff, as he was affectionately known, was born on February 17, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio. He lived a life full of laughter, friendship.
Jeff was the beloved son of the late Anthony D. Anton Jr. and L’Jane Anton, and is the cherished brother of Pamela Gwozdz (Kenneth), Kathlee Young (Doug), Roger Anton (Tammy) snd Stepson to Lucy Anton. He is also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews, and his loyal feline companion, Charlie, who brought him endless joy. Preceding him in death were his grandfather, Anthony D. Anton Sr., grandmother Lillian Anton, father Anthony D. Anton Jr., mother L’Jane Anton, and brother Anthony D. Anton III.
Jeff spent his early years in Toledo, where he graduated from Ottawa Hills High School. Jeff spent seven rewarding years at Schuutz Container in Perrysburg, Ohio, and prior to that delivered pharmaceuticals across three states for Priority Delivery company
Beyond his professional life, Jeff was someone who embraced the simple joys of life. But it was his time with friends at JKB that truly enriched his life. Jeff's sense of humor was legendary, his quick wit and knack for storytelling bringing laughter and light to all those around him. Those who knew him best will remember his infectious warmth, genuine spirit, and the kindness that seemed to radiate from him effortlessly.
Jeff's life was a testament to the power of laughter and the importance of companionship. He had a natural gift for drawing people in, making everyone feel valued and cherished. His stories and humor left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered, and his memory will continue to inspire smiles and fond recollections.
In honor of Jeff's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the comfort of knowing that Jeff's spirit lives on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the joy he found in simple pleasures.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jeff's memory to a local animal shelter, reflecting his love for animals and his beloved cat, Charlie. May we all strive to carry forward the kindness, humor, and warmth that Jeff embodied, keeping his memory alive in our hearts forever.
