In Loving Memory

Jeff Harris
October 14, 1942 — March 2, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Jeff Harris on March 2, 2026. Born on October 14, 1942, in the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington, Jeff was a beloved son of the late Henry Harris and Harriet Hauge. His life, marked by service, dedication, and love, touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A proud veteran, Jeff served his country with honor in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966. His time in the Navy forged a strong sense of discipline and camaraderie, values he carried into his distinguished career as a Data Processing Manager at IBM. Jeff’s innovative spirit and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the field of technology.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jeff was a man of diverse passions. He found joy in the open road as an avid Harley rider, where the hum of the engine and the wind in his face brought him peace. He was equally at home on the golf course, where he enjoyed the challenge of the game and the company of friends. A lover of the water, Jeff was a dedicated boatman, finding solace and adventure on the waves.
Jeff’s greatest joy, however, was his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 30 years, Penny Schultz, whose unwavering love and partnership were the cornerstones of his world. Jeff was a cherished brother to his sister, Helen Harris, and a proud father to his son, Darin Harris, who carry forward his legacy of kindness, strength, and integrity.
As we remember Jeff, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His gentle spirit, quick wit, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A service to honor Jeff’s life will be held on May 3, 2026, at the home he shared with Penny, located at 11082 Whistling Straits, Las Vegas, NV 89141. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the remarkable journey he shared with us. Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering the man who lived life to the fullest, loved deeply, and will be forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jeff’s memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of giving and compassion. As we say goodbye, we cherish the impact Jeff had on our lives and hold his memory close.
