Jearl Dee Harris

Jearl Dee Harris, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on September 4, 2026 after battling bone cancer for over 2 years. Born on August 10, 1944, in Delano, California, Jearl was the son of Melvin and Anna (Golden) Harris. Throughout his life, Jearl exemplified courage, strength, and kindness, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. Jearl began his distinguished career serving as a Corpsman in the United States Navy for four years, where he developed a deep sense of duty and compassion. Following his naval service, he dedicated 22 years to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in California, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. His tenure with the department allowed him to touch countless lives through his work, particularly during his time as a deputy sheriff and undercover narcotics officer. Jearl was known for his captivating storytelling, sharing tales of his experiences and adventures with warmth and humor. In 1985, Jearl married the love of his life, Loueen Lamberson, in California. Together, they built a beautiful life, marked by love and devotion. Upon retiring in July 1991, Jearl and Loueen moved to Tuskahoma, Oklahoma, along with his two stepdaughters, Carrie Digison and Kristy Bahner, where they embraced a quieter life filled with family and cherished hobbies. Jearl found great joy in fishing and gardening, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and find peace. He was a man of generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and offering his support to his community. Family was the cornerstone of Jearl's life. He is survived by his devoted wife, Loueen; his sons, Craig and Clifford Harris; his stepdaughters, Carrie Digison and Kristy Bahner; his brother, Wendall Harris; and his sisters, Vinita Buchanan and Joyce Moore. Jearl was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Anna; his sisters, Juanita Bailey and Norva Sue White; and his granddaughter, Amy Lynn Digison. Jearl's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his spirit will forever live on in the memories they share. Jearl's life was a testament to love, courage, and service. His memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
