Jeannie Parker Bellm

May 22, 1946 — April 16, 2026

Jeannie Parker Bellm, a beacon of kindness and compassion, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026. Born on May 22, 1946, in the town of Montvale, New Jersey, Jeannie was the cherished daughter of Arthur and Marion Parker. She was 79 years old. Jeannie’s early life in Montvale was filled with love and the joy of family. She attended Pascack Valley High School, where she began to nurture the qualities that would define her life: warmth, empathy, and a profound respect for all living creatures. It was here that her lifelong passion for animal welfare took root, fostered by the presence of a rescued raccoon at her childhood home—a testament to the nurturing environment her parents provided. Jeannie shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, John Bellm, to whom she was married for 35 years until his passing. Together, they crafted a haven of love and laughter, first in New Jersey and later in Florida, where they retired. Their home was always open to animals in need, with rescued dogs and cats finding a sanctuary with them. Jeannie’s heart was boundless, always ready to offer a safe and loving home to stray cats in her neighborhood, ensuring they had the love and care they deserved. Her remarkable ability to create beauty extended beyond her love for animals. Jeannie enjoyed creating intricate embroidery works of art. Her intricate designs were a reflection of her caring and patient heart. Friends and family were often the fortunate recipients of her stunning creations, each piece a testament to her dedication and love. Jeannie’s life was further enriched by her love for nature. She found solace in feeding the birds and other wildlife that visited her garden, her gentle spirit leaving a lasting impact on all creatures, great and small. Her unwavering kindness and ever-present smile became her signature, touching the lives of everyone she met. Preceded in death by her dear husband John, Jeannie leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her brother Douglas Parker, sister Barbara Hansen, nephew John Stack, nieces Diane Dashkiewicz, Donna Snedden, and Stephanie Parker. She also leaves behind her beloved stepdaughters, Jacqueline Maury, Patricia Skaggs, and Deborah Weir. Grandchildren, John Skaggs, Jennifer Bass and Justin Maury. Her family and friends find comfort in the legacy of love and compassion she leaves behind. In honor of Jeannie’s lifelong devotion to animals, her family kindly requests that donations be made to Paw Warriors in Spring Hill, Florida, an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in need. This is a fitting tribute to a woman who lived her life with an open heart, always ready to help those who could not help themselves. Jeannie Parker Bellm will be remembered for her boundless love and her unwavering kindness. Her life was a testament to the profound impact one person can have through simple acts of love and compassion. She leaves behind a world that is a little kinder, a little warmer, and infinitely more beautiful, simply for having been in it.
