Jeanette Florence “Jean” Priebe

May 9, 1941 — May 29, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jeanette Florence “Jean” Priebe, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on May 29, 2026, at the age of 85. Jean was born on May 9, 1941, in the quaint town of Parrish, Wisconsin, to loving parents Lonzie and Lucy Sparks. Her journey on this earth was filled with grace, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Jean's life was a testament to love and commitment, having shared 46 wonderful years with her beloved husband, William “Bill” Priebe, whom she married on September 17, 1960. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and cherished memories until Bill's passing. Jean was also predeceased by her dear brother, Arland Sparks. Her legacy lives on through her devoted children: Mark (Diane) Priebe, Julie (Gary) Fisher, Katy (Mark) Sweigart, and Christy (Joseph) Fehlen. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Nancy Melau, who shared her life's journey with warmth and camaraderie. Jean was a proud grandmother to her thirteen grandchildren: Matt (Jessica) Zeratsky, Tara (Tom) Lund, Bill (Tracie) Priebe, Tori (Skye) Fisher-Keough, Olivia Fisher, Zachary (Stephanie) Sweigart, Adria (Michael) Quiroz, Annie (Emilio) Rodriguez, Hope (Paul) Ramseyer, Amelia (Jonathan) Wagenknecht, Elliot (Faith) Fehlen, Samuel (McKenzie) Fehlen, and Ruby Fehlen. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of her twelve great-grandchildren, who brought endless smiles and warmth to her heart. Jean's life was enriched by her active membership at Grace Foursquare Church, where she was known for her compassion and willingness to help anyone in need. Her faith was a guiding light that she shared generously with her community. Her love for family and friends was unparalleled, and she found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was losing herself in a good book, delighting others with her culinary talents, or simply being there to lend a helping hand. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the residents and staff of Grace Lodge for making Jean's last months truly enjoyable. The warmth and care she received there were a testament to the kindness she had shown throughout her life. A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at 21:25 at the Family Life Center at Grace Foursquare Church. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join in remembering a life well-lived and to honor the indelible mark she left on the hearts of many. In Jean's memory, let us strive to reflect the love and kindness she embodied every day. Her spirit will forever be a part of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
