June 6, 1947 – June 3, 2026 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Wilson Luckett, a cherished matriarch, devoted mother, beloved sister, and treasured friend. Jean peacefully departed this world on June 3, 2026, just three days shy of her 79th birthday, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and beauty. Born in the serene town of Trelawny, Jamaica, Jean was the cherished daughter of the late Edward and Ruby Coley Wilson. From an early age, she exhibited an innate passion for beauty and fashion, a passion that would guide her life’s journey. As a child, Jean resourcefully used the dye from the Annatto plant to brighten her lips, a testament to her creativity and love for color, even when lip color was neither permitted nor affordable. Jean's vibrant spirit and captivating presence led her to the world of modeling, where she graced the runways with elegance and poise. Her talent and beauty were recognized when she was crowned Ms. West Indies, a title that highlighted her grace and charm. In America, Jean's career flourished as she worked with the renowned Ford Modeling Agency, leaving an indelible mark on the fashion industry. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jean's true joy came from her family. She was a dedicated mother to her daughters, Cordelia Pottinger-Walters (Gary Walters), Twila Khouri Logan (Arlyn Logan), and Myralee Khouri Hill (Clark Hill). Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Myles Edison Davis, Nia Simone Walters, Ananya Marie, Brielle Anne, Channing, Declan Logan, Domaja, Alana, Nathan Hill, and Serena, who all carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Jean also embraced the joys of being a grandmother to her late step-daughter Marcia Khouri's children. Jean's life was enriched by her siblings, Norma Rosalie Wilson, Beverly Policee Helberg, and Norman Patrick Wilson, with whom she shared countless memories and moments of joy. Her extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, held a special place in her heart. She was a beloved aunt to Tiffani, Gregory Helberg, Neville, O'Neil, and Kristan Abrahams, and a cherished cousin to Ivis Cunningham, Precious Dunn, Ruper Coley, Beverly Francis, and others, who will forever remember her warmth and generosity. Jean had a deep love for travel and cherished her time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories across the globe. Her compassion, elegance, and vibrant spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jean was predeceased by her loving mother, Ruby Wilson; her husband, Michael Luckett; her step-daughter, Marcia Khouri; and her sister, Pamela Abrahams Anderson. Though they have passed, their spirits remain intertwined in the life and love of Jean's enduring legacy. A celebration of Jean's life will be held on June 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Riverdale Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived and a spirit that continues to shine brightly in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to charities dedicated to fostering creativity and empowering young women, causes close to Jean's heart. Jean Wilson Luckett will forever be remembered for her beauty, both inside and out, her boundless love, and the joy she brought into the lives of those she touched. She leaves behind a world made better by her presence and a family eternally grateful for her love.
