Her professional journey led her to Pepsico in Purchase, NY, where she dedicated over three decades as a systems manager. Her work was characterized by dedication, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
Ridgefield, CT, was where Jean called home for most of her adult life, a place that held her heart alongside her cherished New England and Nantucket Island. Her love for travel found her exploring family vacations in North Carolina and the scenic landscapes of Europe, always with family and friends who were the center of her world.
Jean's life was a testament to her unwavering generosity and care. Her profound empathy was especially evident in the loving care she provided to her brother Jim and her parents during their final years. Her selflessness and devotion were a beacon of hope and love that touched the lives of all who were fortunate to know her.

The Murphy family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Inova Hospital, Alexandria, and Goodwin House Hospice, especially the compassionate second-floor staff, for their unwavering support and assistance during Jean's illness.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Jean's life, as the family wishes to celebrate her journey in an intimate gathering. Although we will deeply miss her physical presence, Jean's spirit will forever live on in the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind.
