Jean Mae slipped away gently in her sleep at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
Born on September 8, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jean Mae was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a testament to the power of a kind soul, as she touched the lives of many with her quick wit, forgiving nature, and a heart that always sought to uplift others.
Jean Mae shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, the late Robert Leo Sickmann. Together, they built a loving family and created memories that will be cherished forever. Jean Mae is survived by her devoted children, Michael and Judy Sickmann, her grandchildren Ryan, Patrick, and Clara Sickmann, who were the pride and joy of her life. Jean Mae’s family was her world, and she took immense pride in guiding them with the same gentle strength that defined her character.
For 35 years, Jean Mae dedicated herself to working with the Little Sisters of the Poor, a role in which she found great fulfillment and purpose. Her commitment to supporting those in need embodied her compassionate spirit and lifelong devotion to service. Her contributions to this organization and the countless individuals she touched will be remembered as a testament to her enduring legacy of love and generosity.
In honoring Jean Mae’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate her remarkable life. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their condolences and support during this time.
