Jean D Norman

Jean D. Norman, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on August 9, 1945, in Essex County, Virginia, Jean was the beloved daughter of the late James Norman Sr. and Mary Belle Washington. Her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Jean was one of four children. She was predeceased by her loving parents, her brother Howard Norman, her cherished daughter Dion Norman, and her dear niece Bridgette Ledbetter. Jean's life was enriched by her deep connections with her surviving family members, including her devoted siblings, James Norman Jr. and his wife Beatrice, and her sister Barbara Norman and her great niece Ashley Ledbetter who cared for her for a period of time. She was also blessed with the joy of being a grandmother to two grandchildren, Jonte Jackson and Mel'Lissa Norman and a host of nieces and nephews. Jean's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who loved her, but her spirit and the beautiful memories she created will forever be cherished.
