He was raised in a bustling household alongside his siblings, Robert, Marie-Ange, Dady, Florise, Mme Claibert, and Betty, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Though he has now joined his parents and siblings Robert, Marie-Ange, and Dady in eternal rest, the memories of their time together remain a cherished legacy. In a partnership that spanned over half a century, Jean was the devoted husband of Marie Nerlande. Their marriage of 53 years was a testament to enduring love and commitment, characterized by shared joys and challenges. Together, they raised five exceptional children—Birgitta, Dorothy, Ronald, Jean, and Francesca—instilling in them values of compassion, perseverance, and integrity. Their home, a haven of love, trials, triumphs, and laughter, was the cornerstone of Jean's life and the foundation upon which his family was built. Jean's heart swelled with pride at the mention of his six grandchildren, who brought an abundance of joy and a special sparkle to his later years.
