JD's Mum

April 1, 1960 — September 1, 1998

We gather in solemn remembrance to honor the life and legacy of JD's Mum, a remarkable woman whose presence was as warm and comforting as the gentle breeze she so loved to wave through. Born on April 1, 1960, in the vibrant city of Detroit, she graced this world with her infectious spirit and genuine kindness until her untimely departure on September 1, 1998. JD's Mum was the cherished daughter of Natalia and Charlie Heaton, who instilled in her the values of love, resilience, and strength. She shared an extraordinary bond with her parents and carried their lessons of compassion and generosity forward in her own life. Her marriage to Big Bud Dean was a union filled with shared laughter and moments of deep connection, even amidst life's challenges. Her son, Jason 'JD' Dean, who predeceased her, was the light of her life. Their relationship was one of profound love, mutual respect, and shared adventures. Although JD's Mum did not have any grandchildren or great-grandchildren, her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many who were fortunate enough to know her. JD's Mum will be remembered for her gentle nature and her unique love of waving through windows—a simple act that brought joy to many. Her ability to find delight in the everyday moments reminded those around her to cherish the small, beautiful things in life. A service to celebrate JD's Mum's life will be held on July 2, 2026, at 6:07 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor, to share stories, and to hold close the memories of a woman who gave so much to those she loved. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in keeping with JD's Mum's generous spirit and her desire to make the world a better place. The family shares this special message: "Open the door." It is a reminder of JD's Mum's open heart and the welcoming nature she embodied throughout her life. As we bid farewell to JD's Mum, we hold her memory close and find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, waving through windows in the heavens above.
