August 8, 2008 — March 18, 2026

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Jayson Kasarda, a bright and compassionate young soul, who left us far too soon on March 18, 2026. Born on August 8, 2008, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Jayson was a beacon of kindness and empathy, deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jayson was the beloved son of Lexi and Harold Kasarda, who raised him in a home filled with love and encouragement. He was not only a loving son but also an exemplary older brother, whose protective and caring nature made him a cherished role model for his siblings. Jayson was on the cusp of new beginnings, about to graduate high school and eager to embark on the journey of obtaining his driver’s license. He was excitedly planning to explore colleges and all the possibilities life had to offer. His dreams and ambitions were as vast as his heart, and his enthusiasm was contagious. A young man of many passions, Jayson found joy in the world of video games, where he connected with friends and shared countless hours of laughter and camaraderie. He also had a keen interest in collecting sneakers and baseball cards, hobbies that reflected his appreciation for both style and history. Jayson’s life, though short, was marked by his unwavering dedication to helping others. He possessed a rare ability to empathize deeply with those around him, always prioritizing the well-being and happiness of others. His caring nature extended beyond his family and friends, touching the lives of many through simple acts of kindness and understanding. Tragically, Jayson faced challenges that no one should have to endure. Despite his struggles with depression and the impacts of cyberbullying, he remained steadfast in his mission to care for others, a testament to his enduring strength and character. His life serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of compassion and empathy in the face of adversity. Jayson will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and community, who will forever cherish his memory. As we gather to celebrate his life, we remember Jayson not only for the joy he brought into our lives but also for the lessons he taught us about love, resilience, and the power of kindness. A memorial service will be held to honor Jayson’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to organizations supporting mental health awareness and anti-bullying initiatives, causes that were close to Jayson’s heart. Though Jayson’s time with us was brief, his impact was immeasurable. As we bid farewell, we hold onto the love he shared and the lessons he left behind. May his spirit continue to inspire us all to lead lives filled with kindness and compassion.
