It is with profound sadness and reverence that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jayne Moreah Smith Condley, who left this world peacefully on May 29, 2026, a day after celebrating her 72nd birthday. Jayne was born on May 28, 1954, in Longview, Texas, to the late Jack M. Smith and Elizabeth S. Smith, and she carried their legacy with grace and dignity throughout her life. Jayne was a woman of remarkable strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. After graduating from H. M. King High School in 1972 in Kingsville, Texas, she embarked on a journey that spanned various fields and touched countless lives. Her career began with ExxonMobil in Kingsville, where she faithfully served for 19 years, forging lifelong friendships and leaving an indelible mark of professionalism and warmth. In 1994, Jayne married the love of her life, Tim L. Condley, on a beautiful Christmas Eve, and together they built a life filled with love and shared dreams. They raised a wonderful blended family, nurturing their children Jesse, Mitchell, Amber, Dustin, and Myles with love, wisdom, and the spirit of togetherness. Jayne and Tim ventured into the chicken business with Con Agra, exemplifying their entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork. Her pursuit of education continued in 2004 when Jayne attended cosmetology school at Trinity Junior College in Athens, Texas, a decision that would lead her to a fulfilling career in cosmetology. She further honed her skills and acquired her instructor license at Margaret's Hair Academy in Russellville, Arkansas. Her passion for teaching and her nurturing nature shone brightly as she guided her students with patience and inspiration. From 2012 to 2016, Jayne shared her expertise at Margaret's Hair Academy, and from 2016 until her retirement, she was a beloved instructor at Edge Salon Academy in Russellville, Arkansas. Her colleagues and students remember her as a source of encouragement and a beacon of creativity, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of learning from her. Predeceased by her parents, as well as her beloved husband Tim, Jayne's spirit remains alive in the memories of her family and friends. She was a matriarch whose love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Jayne leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and a life well-lived. In celebration of Jayne's life, a service will be held to honor her memory, with details to be shared in the coming days. Her family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and encourages those who knew Jayne to remember her by the joy and warmth she brought into their lives. As we say our goodbyes, we hold in our hearts the enduring legacy of Jayne Moreah Smith Condley, a woman of remarkable grace and boundless love. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
