In loving memory of Jayda Lumpkin, who left this world far too soon on July 12, 2026, at the tender age of 14. Born on November 15, 2011, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jayda was a beacon of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her untimely passing due to gun violence has left an indelible void in the hearts of her family and friends. Jayda's life, though brief, was filled with vibrant energy and passion. She had an extraordinary talent and love for dance, where she expressed herself with grace and creativity. Her enthusiasm for flipping and acrobatics was inspiring and often left her family and friends in awe of her fearless spirit. Ever the joker, Jayda had a unique ability to light up a room with her playful sense of humor, bringing laughter and happiness to those around her. She was a cherished daughter of Melvin Lumpkin and Jacques Williams, who adored her deeply. Jayda is survived by her five beloved sisters—Amarie, Iyanna, October, Ocean, and Lamayia—who shared countless memories and adventures with her. Together, they formed a tight-knit bond, filled with love and loyalty that will forever endure. Jayda was also surrounded by a host of extended family members who loved her dearly and will continue to honor her memory. Jayda was predeceased by her grandfather, Gregory Williams, with whom she shared a special connection. We take solace in knowing that they are now reunited. As we remember Jayda, let us celebrate her life by cherishing the moments of laughter and joy she brought into our lives. Her bright spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who love Jayda, you will forever be missed, never forgotten, and always loved.
