In Loving Memory

Jason Lee Felts
January 26, 1977 — September 15, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Jason Lee Felts, who left us far too soon on September 15, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on January 26, 1977, in Roanoke, Virginia, Jason was a beacon of light to all who knew him. His vibrant life was tragically cut short in a car accident caused by a drunk driver, a heart-wrenching reminder of the fragility of life.
Jason was the cherished son of John and Gina Felts, and his beloved brothers, Casey, Logan, and Josef. Despite the many losses he endured, Jason carried forward with grace and humor, qualities that defined him throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by his family, friends, and especially his devoted partner of 12 years, Conrad Pratt.
A proud graduate of Lake View Centennial High School in 1995, Jason's path did not lead him to college, but rather to a journey filled with entrepreneurial spirit and ambition. In 2001, he founded J2 Pictures, a stepping stone that led him to become the youngest CEO of a major business in American history within the Virgin Group, alongside the esteemed Richard Branson. His career was a testament to his intelligence, innovation, and indomitable spirit.
Jason's influence extended beyond the business world. His passion for creative arts and relentless drive to make a difference in people's lives, particularly those he did not know, were inspiring. His dedication to causes like breast cancer awareness showcased his compassionate heart and commitment to the greater good.
Described by those who knew him as smart, funny, respectful, and down-to-earth, Jason had an exceptional sense of humor that brought joy and laughter to all around him. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life made him a treasured friend and confidant.
A service to celebrate Jason's life will be held on September 23, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Redondo Beach Baptist Church, located at 5489 Ocean Side Drive, Redondo Beach, CA 90316. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Jason's memory to breast cancer awareness organizations, an area close to his heart.
In a poignant discovery, Jason left behind a note for his brother Casey, expressing a cherished memory shared between them that he will never forget, and that being the invitation to come spend the day with him and sit in the dugout and watch Casey pitch for the very first time in college. Casey didn't just pitch, he threw the very first no hitter in West Virginia history, while striking out 16 and defeating then, the #1 team in the country, the Miami Hurricanes.
Jason Lee Felts will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. His spirit, warmth, and humor remain with us, guiding us as we navigate the world without him. As we celebrate his remarkable life, we find solace in the memories and the indelible mark he left on all who had the privilege to know him.
