In loving memory of Jason James Muenchow, Age 53, Of Merrill WI, who departed from this world unexpectedly on April 11, 2026, in Orange Park, Florida. Born on August 20, 1972, in Merrill, Wisconsin, Jason lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and dedication to his loved ones. His sudden passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
Jason was the beloved son of Diana Huston and the late Stanley Muenchow Sr. He was predeceased by his father, his grandparents Paul and Grace Muenchow, Donald Wendland, and Juanita Arndt, his uncle Donald Wendland, cousin James Albright, nieces Tristan Muenchow and Amber Opp, extra son Tyler Degner, and father-in-law Barry Hanson. Despite these losses, Jason continued to carry the spirit of his family forward, embodying the love and resilience they instilled in him.
He is survived by his six sons, Chase (Griselda) Hein of GreenBush, WI, Dominic, Josh (Michelle), Logan, Noah (Kortney), and Donavin Muenchow, all of Merrill. Jason was a proud and devoted grandfather to Naomi, Anastasia, Ezra, Masyn, Zander, Jaxson, Abel, Easton, Lincoln, Emersyn, Sutton, and Elijah. His family was his greatest pride, and he found immense joy in spending time with his twelve grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and love.
Jason grew up in Merrill, where he attended Merrill High School and began working in the carnival industry at the tender age of 15 with Belle City Amusement Co. He dedicated his life to the carnival world, a career that brought smiles to countless faces and allowed him to forge lifelong friendships. Most recently, Jason was operating and assisting his son Logan with carnival concessions, a testament to his enduring work ethic and passion for family.
Jason was known for his big smile and generous spirit. His welcoming nature touched the lives of everyone he met, always ready to lend a hand or offer support. He found solace and joy in Harley rides and cherished every moment he spent with his grandchildren and children, helping them with their latest ventures.
Jason leaves behind his children and grandchildren, mother, Diana Huston, and his five brothers, Stanley (Anja) Muenchow, Barry (Lisa) Muenchow, Bryan, Steve (Michelle) Muenchow, and Jeffrey Muenchow. Nieces Brianna, Zoe nephews Jeremiah Kerry Austin Zack Alik Jacob He is also survived by his ex-wife, Tiffaney Hanson, uncle Dave (Cris) Wendland, daughter-in-law Alissa Zajackowski, and close friend Kerry (Heather) Schneider.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Orange Park, Florida, Police Department and Orange Park Medical Center for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
