In Loving Memory

Jason James Muenchow
August 20, 1972 — April 11, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Jason James Muenchow, who left this world on April 11, 2026, in Orange Park, Florida. Born in Merrill, Wisconsin, on August 20, 1972, Jason was a man whose life was defined by kindness, a touch of attitude, and an unwavering willingness to help those around him.
Jason was the beloved son of Diana Huston and the late Stanley Muenchow. He was blessed with a large and loving family, which included his devoted mother, his brothers Stanley Jr. (Aja), Barry (Lisa), Bryan (Steve, Michelle), and Jeffrey Muenchow, and his cherished uncle David Cris Wendland. Jason was a best friend to many, but none more so than his long-time companion, Kerry Schneider.
Growing up in Merrill, Jason attended Merrill High School, where he laid the foundation for a life rich in experiences and connections. At the young age of 14, he began working for Belle City Amusements, where he found his calling in the carnival industry—a place that would not only become his career but a testament to his dedication and work ethic.
Jason was a man of many passions. He found joy in the freedom of the open road, often taking rides on his Harley, and his heart was fullest when he was surrounded by his grandchildren. He was a father who took immense pride in helping his sons—Christopher, Chase, Dominic, Josh, Logan, Noah, and Donivan—chase their dreams and navigate life's adventures. His daughters-in-law, Michelle Muenchow, Griselda, Alissa Zajackowski, and Kourtney, were dear to him, and he welcomed them with open arms into his family.
A loving grandfather, Jason's legacy lives on in his 11 grandchildren: Naomi, Anastasia, Ezra, Lincoln, Emersyn, Sutton, Zander, Mayson, Jackson, Able, and Elijah. Each brought him immeasurable joy and were a testament to the love he so freely gave.
Jason was predeceased by many whom he held dear: his father Stanley Muenchow, grandparents Paul and Grace Muenchow, Juanita Arndt, uncle Donald Wendland, cousin Jimmy, niece Tristan Muenchow, and his 'extra son,' Tyler Degner. Their memories were close to his heart, and he often spoke of them with fondness.
Those who knew Jason will remember his kind ways and his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need, even if it came with a bit of his signature attitude. His life was a testament to the importance of family, friendship, and community.
The Muenchow family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Orange Park Medical Center and Officer Mmmmm for their compassionate care in Jason's final moments.
In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the cherished memories Jason leaves behind. As we say goodbye, we honor the incredible life he lived and the legacy of love and kindness he leaves behind. May his soul find peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
