In Loving Memory

Jason James Muenchow
August 20, 1972 — April 11, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Jason James Muenchow on April 11, 2026, in Orange Park, Florida. Born on August 20, 1972, in Merrill, Wisconsin, Jason's journey from the heart of the Midwest to the warmth of Florida was one marked by love, adventure, and a deep commitment to family.
Jason was the beloved son of Diana Huston and the late Stanley Muenchow, and he carried forward the legacy of kindness and resilience passed down by his parents. He was predeceased by his father, his grandparents Paul and Grace Muenchow and Juanita Arndt, his uncle Donald Wendland, his cousin Jimmy, another uncle, his niece Tristan Muenchow, and his extra son Tyler Degner, as well as his cherished dogs, Mini and Tinkerbell.
Jason's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the spirit of adventure. He was a devoted father to his six sons: Chase, Dominic, Josh, Logan, Noah, and Donivan, and took immense pride in watching them grow and chase their dreams. He welcomed his daughters-in-law Michelle Muenchow, Griselda, and Alissa Zajackowski with open arms, and shared a special bond with Kourtney. His legacy continues in the lives of his eleven grandchildren: Naomi, Anastasia, Ezra, Lincoln, Emersyn, Sutton, Zander, Mayson, Jackson, Able, and Elijah, who will carry forward his warmth and enthusiasm for life.
A graduate of Merrill High School, Jason's career began at the tender age of 14 with Belle City Amusements. His work ethic and dedication led him through various roles, yet his heart always belonged to the carnival industry, where he found joy in the vibrant energy of the midway. His love for the open road was evident in the rides he cherished on his Harley, often with the wind as his only companion.
Known for his kind ways and willingness to help anyone in need, Jason approached life with a generous spirit, even if accompanied by a little attitude. His family recalls him as a man who found happiness in the simplest of pleasures, whether he was spending time with his grandchildren or lending a hand to help his boys with their next venture.
Jason is survived by his mother, Diana Huston, his ex-wife Tiffany Hanson, his brothers Stanley Jr. (Aja Muenchow), Barry (Lisa Muenchow), Bryan (Steve Michelle Muenchow), and Jeffrey Muenchow, his uncle David (Cris Wendland), and his best friend of many years, Kerry Schneider, who stood by him through thick and thin.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Orange Park Medical Center and Officer Mmmmm for their compassionate care during Jason's final moments.
As we gather to celebrate Jason's life, we remember a man whose love for his family and friends was as steadfast as his spirit was adventurous. We invite all who knew him to join us in honoring his memory, cherishing the laughter he brought into our lives, and continuing his legacy of kindness.
Jason, though you have left us too soon, your journey lives on in our hearts. May you ride freely in the skies above, forever watching over those you loved.
