In Loving Memory

Jasmin McCray
December 29, 1985 — March 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jasmin McCray, who left us unexpectedly on March 4, 2026, at the age of 40. Jasmin was born on December 29, 1985, in Baltimore, MD, and she illuminated our lives with her warm spirit, resilience, and boundless creativity.
Jasmin was a cherished daughter to Lister McCray and the late Karen Claud, and she was adored by her extensive family. Her devotion to her sons, Daquwon McCray and Carlester Duncan, was unwavering, and she found immense joy in nurturing and watching them grow. Jasmin was the heartbeat of her family, a beloved sister to Ashley Jackson, Byran Jackson, Larry Jackson Jr., Latay Gibbson, Lavontay Jackson, and Maureen Gains. Her nephew Matthew Bolden, Ayden Bolden, and nieces Madison Bolden, Malayia Bolden, Makayla Leonard, and Bella Jackson were always close to her heart, as were her cherished memories with her grandmother Isabell McCray, her uncle Larry Jackson, Aunt Linda Jackson, and Aunt Betty McCray, who was more like a second mother to her. Her cousin Anastasia was not only family but a sister in spirit, and Jasmin leaves behind a host of relatives who will forever treasure her memory.
Jasmin's journey began in the halls of Walbrook High School, where her entrepreneurial spirit first took root. She was a gifted hairstylist, a talent she nurtured from a young age, transforming it into a lifelong passion. Her skill and creativity were unmatched, and she generously shared her artistry with family and friends, becoming a favorite stylist to many, especially her nieces, who delighted in her skillful hands.
Jasmin's career spanned over 15 years at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Environmental Services. Her work ethic and dedication were admired by her colleagues, who became an extension of her family. Whether she was sharing laughter with coworkers or creating a welcoming environment in any room, Jasmin's presence was a source of joy and comfort.
Her entrepreneurial spirit was ever-present as she continuously sought new ways to expand her skills and share her ideas with others. Jasmin's laughter was contagious, and her ability to read a room and infuse it with warmth and humor was a rare gift that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jasmin's life will be celebrated on March 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Wylie Funeral Home, located at 5657 The Alameda, Baltimore, MD 21239. As we gather to honor her life, we carry forward the legacy of love, laughter, and kindness she so generously bestowed upon us.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the kind words and cherished memories shared by those who were touched by Jasmin's life. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and her light will continue to guide us.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages sharing stories and moments that celebrate the vibrant life Jasmin lived, as we remember her with love and joy.
