It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jase Matthew Wilson, who left us on June 6, 2026, at the tender age of 12. Born on February 15, 2014, in Weirton, West Virginia, Jase was a beacon of resilience and spirit, whose life, though brief, made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. Jase was the cherished son of Aishya Jade Pastre and Jay Moore, who loved him deeply and celebrated every moment of his short but meaningful life. He was a student at Buckeye Local Junior High School, having graduated from 6th grade with his characteristic determination and zest for life. Despite the challenges he faced due to a muscle disease, Jase was known for his vibrant passion for gaming. This was not just a hobby for him, but a testament to his perseverance; he was determined to keep his hours up, immersing himself in the virtual worlds that brought him joy and companionship. Though Jase battled with his health, and sometimes appeared distant or aloof, those who truly knew him understood the depth of his compassion and care for others. His exterior may have seemed tough, but inside, he harbored a heart full of empathy and kindness. He was a young soul who valued the happiness of others, often putting their needs above his own. Jase's life will be honored in a private ceremony, as per the wishes of his family. They request that those who wish to remember Jase consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, as a way to continue spreading the love and kindness that Jase embodied throughout his life. As we say goodbye to Jase, we hold onto the memories of a little boy with a big heart, whose life, though cut short, was filled with love, laughter, and the courage to live fully despite the odds.
