Jarrod Nelson Jackson
April 12, 1975 — March 23, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Jarrod Nelson Jackson, who left this world peacefully on March 23, 2026. Jarrod was born on April 12, 1975, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, a place he cherished and called home for most of his life. Though his years on this earth were too few, they were filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Jarrod was the beloved son of Thomas A'dell Jackson and the late Barbara Nelson Jackson. From his mother, Barbara, who preceded him in death, Jarrod inherited a spirit of kindness and compassion that he carried with him throughout his life. He was also predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Ernest and Florence Jackson, and Albert and Shirley Nelson, as well as his uncle, Ernest Rodney Jackson, whose memory was always kept alive by his devoted wife, Mary Jackson.
A man of many talents and passions, Jarrod will be fondly remembered for his love of duck hunting. The quiet moments spent in nature brought him peace and joy, and he relished sharing this passion with family and friends. Jarrod's heart was as vast as the great outdoors he so loved, and he was always ready with a warm smile or a helping hand.
Jarrod's legacy lives on through his father, Thomas A'dell Jackson, and his beloved children: Cydney, Cathryn, Emma, Leea, Alex, and Wes. He took immense pride in them, and his love for his children was the guiding light in his life. His family was his greatest treasure, and he worked tirelessly to ensure their happiness and well-being.
He is also survived by his dear Aunt Betty Ray of Ripley, TN, and his beloved uncles: Mike Nelson (Linda) of Saltillo, TN, Phil Nelson (Kim) of Mason, TN, Joe Jackson (Geneva) of Memphis, TN, and Bob Jackson (Pam) of Houston, TX. Jarrod's family was his foundation, and he cherished the bonds he shared with each one of them.
In addition to his family, Jarrod leaves behind a wide circle of friends who will remember him for his generosity, humor, and unwavering loyalty. His presence brightened the lives of those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
As we gather to celebrate Jarrod's life, we remember his laughter echoing across sunlit fields and his gentle spirit that touched so many. Though we mourn his passing, we find solace in the memories we hold dear and the knowledge that his love endures in our hearts.
A service to honor and remember Jarrod will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together in gratitude for the gift of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jarrod's compassionate spirit.
May Jarrod Nelson Jackson rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before him, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
