Jarius Peter Tanielu

April 7, 2014 — April 20, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Jarius Peter Tanielu, who was born on April 7, 2014, in Fagaalu LBJ Pago Pago, American Samoa. Jarius left this world far too soon on April 20, 2026, at the tender age of 12, following a tragic car accident alongside his dear father, Soli Tanielu Jr. Jarius was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. The cherished son of Soli Tanielu Jr and Phileite Cynthia Ioane, he was the epitome of youthful exuberance and warmth. He spent his formative years at Alpha Academy School, where he was known not only as a dedicated student from kindergarten through to the fourth grade but also as a caring friend and an enthusiastic participant in all school activities. A spirited soul, Jarius was an active member of the EFKAS Christian Church Sunday School and Youth Organization. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he took great joy in participating in church activities, where his kind heart and gentle spirit touched everyone around him. Jarius was always eager to lend a helping hand or share a kind word, endearing him to both his peers and elders alike. Jarius had a passion for football, and his loyalty to the Philadelphia Eagles was unmatched. He could often be found tossing a football with friends, his laughter ringing through the air, or drawing vibrant pictures that captured his vivid imagination. His love for his friends was palpable, as was his penchant for bringing smiles to their faces with his playful jokes and sociable nature. A spirited game of UNO with his friends was a common sight, where his competitive yet always-good-natured spirit shone through. Jarius’s love for life was infectious, and his presence was a gift to all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever be cherished by his mother, Phileite Cynthia Ioane, his extended family, his friends, and everyone in the community who had the pleasure of seeing his bright smile and experiencing his kind-heartedness. As we grieve the loss of this precious young soul, let us also celebrate the joyous moments he brought into our lives. Jarius Peter Tanielu may have left this world too soon, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A memorial service will be held at the EFKAS Christian Church, where family, friends, and community members are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a remarkable young boy who touched us all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alpha Academy School in memory of Jarius, to honor his love for education and his cherished school community.
