Jannie Harris

With heartfelt love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Jannie Bell Harris, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on September 1, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on July 23, 1931, in the warm embrace of Lexington, South Carolina, Jannie was the cherished daughter of Wilbur and Lucille Davis. Jannie Harris was a pillar of strength and love within her family and community. She was the devoted mother to her children: three loving daughters, Barbara, Dianne, and Sandra Harris, and a caring son, Tommy Harris, who, along with his wife Kathy, cherished her deeply. Her legacy lives on through her 15 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her heart and spirit. For over 50 years, Jannie was a dedicated and active member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Her faith and devotion to her church family were unwavering, and her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her there. Her love for classic movies and inspirational programs filled her days with joy and reflection, offering her moments of peace and nostalgia. Jannie was known for her kindness, wisdom, and love, qualities that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her gentle spirit and generous heart made her a beloved figure in her community, and her legacy of compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. A celebration of Jannie's life will be held on September 8, 2026, at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, located at 606 W Main St, Lexington, SC 29072. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Jannie are warmly invited to attend. In honor of Jannie's giving nature, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, continuing Jannie's legacy of helping others. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the Lexington Medical Center, Lexington Extended Care, and Seven Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for the dedicated care and support they provided during Jannie's final days.
