Janice was born on August 12, 1952, in Taylor, Texas, to her beloved parents, Ora Gage Robinson and Willie Robinson. From her earliest days, Janice was a beacon of warmth and kindness, traits that she carried throughout her life and shared generously with her family and community.
A proud graduate of Taylor High School and Nixon Clay, Janice dedicated her career to the Taylor Independent School District, where she inspired countless young minds with her unwavering dedication and nurturing spirit. Her commitment to education and her students was a testament to her belief in the power of knowledge and the importance of caring for one another.
Janice's life was richly blessed by her family, whom she cherished above all else. She was the devoted life partner of 51 years to Robert Montez, who stood by her side with unwavering love and support. Together, they built a beautiful family that became the center of Janice's world. She is survived by her loving son, Christopher Robinson, and his wife Kayla, as well as her cherished daughter, Ashley Montez, and her wife Octavia. Her brother, Herbert F. Robinson, and her three sisters, Clarissa Kimble, Simone Robinson, and Lisa Robinson, along with her brother-in-law Robert, also survive her, each holding a special place in her heart.
Janice's legacy continues through her four adored grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and her dear family members, Ora Kimble, Willie Robinson, Marian Dillard, and Tammie Byrd, whose memories she held dear.
Beyond her family and career, Janice found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for singing filled her home with melodies of joy and warmth, while her culinary talents delighted the taste buds of everyone fortunate enough to share a meal with her. Janice also had a remarkable gift for sewing, creating beautiful pieces that will be treasured by her loved ones for generations to come.
A service to celebrate Janice's remarkable life will be held on April 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Funeral Home, located at 807 Carlos Blvd, Taylor, Texas 76574. Friends and family are invited to gather and share in the memories of a woman who touched so many lives with her grace, wisdom, and unwavering love.
