Janice Lorraine Harschall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Janice Lorraine Harschall, a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law and friend, on March 19, 2026, just shy of her 76th birthday. Janice was born on March 23, 1950, in Dauphin, Manitoba, to her cherished parents, Tony and Josephine Bosiak, who predeceased her. She departed this world surrounded by the love and warmth of her family, after a courageous battle with illness. Janice's life was a testament to love, devotion, and resilience. She was the treasured wife of Peter Harschall, with whom she shared a remarkable 55-year journey of love and companionship. Their union, which began in November 1970, was blessed with two wonderful children: Deanna (Sean) of Stettler, Alberta, and Darren (Teresa) of Dauphin, Manitoba, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Educated in Dauphin, Janice completed her schooling with a focus on office administration. She began her professional journey at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre in admissions, where her warm smile and gentle demeanor touched countless lives. As she lovingly raised her family, Janice balanced part-time work & helping with the farm work when needed with grace before returning to full-time employment at the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by all who had the privilege of working alongside her. Janice's heart was a wellspring of love, not only for her family but also for the countless dogs that shared her home and heart over the years. Her weekends were often filled with sewing and crafting, tending to her vibrant garden and yard, and enjoying shopping trips. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for their kindness and care during Janice's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Janice's memory to Barkland Bridges and/or the Parkland Humane Society in honor of her lifelong love for animals. A celebration of Janice's life will take place on March 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable journey and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her. Janice Lorraine Harschall will be remembered for her unwavering love, her infectious laughter, and her generous spirit. Though she may have left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
