Janice was the cherished daughter of the late Elmer Joseph Bass and Juanita Bass. She was predeceased by her father, her mother, her brothers Elmer J. Bass Jr. (Joe) and Steven Roe Bass. She is survived by her devoted husband, Earl, with whom she shared more than three decades of love and companionship since their marriage on December 13, 1993. Janice is also lovingly remembered by her children, daughter Julie Sheppard and her husband Darren, son Jason Cooper and his wife Brittany, and daughter Mellisa Penney. Her granddaughters, McKinzie and Allison Cooper, were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment with them. Her brother Randall Bass and his wife Terri, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends, will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Janice had a rich and varied professional life, working at several companies before becoming the owner of Gas Appliances Unlimited Inc., where she poured her heart and soul into her work. She was respected and admired for her dedication, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Janice had a passion for the water. She found immense joy and serenity on the Tennessee River, where she spent countless happy days living at Pine Harbor Marina in their boathouse and aboard their cherished yacht, "Just Penney's." Her love for the water was a reflection of her free spirit and her appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Janice's life and honor her memory by keeping in their hearts the love and laughter she shared so generously. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of their choice, reflecting Janice's compassionate and giving nature.
