Janice was the beloved daughter of the late Lillie Ann Warren, whose nurturing spirit and strength she carried forward throughout her life. She was predeceased by her dear brother, Lawrence Wright, and their memories remain etched in the hearts of those who loved them. Her legacy of love continues through her devoted sister, Nadine Bernard, and her brother, Joseph Wright, who will forever cherish her memory.
A dedicated and loving mother, Janice's life revolved around her family. She is survived by her children, Michael Brown, Pokey Brown, Crystal Brown, and her youngest, Toya Brown. Her children were the light of her life, and she devoted herself to their well-being with unwavering commitment. Janice's selfless love extended to her grandchildren, Corion, Lavelle, Marlon, Tyree, Z’Rhyia, My’Khaia, Crystal, and Aaryiah, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Nyla and Ziar, who were the joy of her later years.
In her role as a caregiver, Janice's dedication was unparalleled. She took immense pride and found deep fulfillment in caring for her special needs daughter, Toya. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and acceptance, a testament to her forgiving nature and open heart. Janice welcomed all, offering solace and protection to troubled children, embodying a profound sense of empathy and kindness that touched all who knew her.
Janice shared a 15-year partnership with Michael Brown, a relationship grounded in mutual respect and enduring love. Together, they built a life filled with shared dreams, a testament to their unwavering bond.
Throughout her life, Janice embraced various roles, including that of a housekeeper, but her true vocation was in her unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her porch was her haven, a place where she found peace in the simplicity of watching the world go by, a reflection of her gentle spirit and appreciation for life's quiet moments.

A service to honor Janice's life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mortuary, located at 5835 W Slauson Avenue, Culver City, CA 90230. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who join them in celebrating Janice's new beginning and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Janice's memory to a charity supporting caregivers and families with special needs children, continuing her legacy of love and compassion for those who need it most.
