Janice ANDERSON WAUL
August 21, 1956 — January 23, 2026
With profound sadness and heartfelt celebration of a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Janice Anderson Waul, who journeyed quietly and peacefully into eternal rest on January 23, 2026. Born on August 21, 1956, in the serene landscapes of Amity Hall District, Mocho, Clarendon, Jamaica, Janice was a beacon of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Janice was the cherished daughter of the late Adassa and Sylvester Anderson, whose nurturing spirits she carried throughout her fruitful life. She was the devoted sister to her predeceased siblings Elaine, Sandra, and Faye, and a loving sister to her surviving three brothers and three sisters.
Janice was the treasured wife of Dennis, sharing a beautiful partnership filled with love and mutual respect. Her nurturing spirit continues through her four children, Isha, Shanya, Rojae, and Shamara, whose lives she enriched with wisdom and warmth. Her legacy is further carried by her four adoring grandchildren, and the joy of her great-grandchildren who brought sparkle to her eyes.
Her educational journey began at Babatelle Basic School, followed by Rock All Age School, and culminated at Lennon Secondary School. Janice was a devout member of both the Ashley Church of Christ and the Old Harbour Church of Christ, where her voice in prayer and song resonated with her community.
Beyond her faith, Janice found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her culinary skills were legendary, with her cooking and baking bringing family and friends together in joy-filled gatherings. Her laughter was infectious, as she was known as the family comedian, always finding humor and light even in the simplest of moments. A community person at heart, she was dedicated to making others laugh and feel loved, embodying the true essence of a family lover.
A service to honor Janice’s life will be held on April 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Ashley Church of Christ, located in Ashley, Clarendon, Jamaica. We invite all who knew her to join us in celebrating her remarkable life and legacy.
The family extends its deepest gratitude for the prayers and support shown during this time of loss. Your kindness has been a source of comfort and strength, and for this, we thank you wholeheartedly.
In the tapestry of life, Janice Anderson Waul was a vibrant thread, woven with love, laughter, and unyielding faith. Her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life of purpose and grace.
