Janet Lawerence
November 17, 1961 — February 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Lawrence, who peacefully departed this world on February 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with pneumonia. Janet was born on November 17, 1961, in the charming town of Williamsport, where she spent her formative years and built a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness.
Janet was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Patricia Flook, who instilled in her the values of compassion and resilience. She carried their legacy forward, embodying these virtues in every aspect of her life. Janet was predeceased by her cherished parents, Robert and Patricia, and she now joins them in eternal rest.
In her professional life, Janet dedicated over 30 years to nurturing and guiding young minds at Child Guidance Daycare. Her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on the countless children she cared for, fostering a nurturing environment that felt like a second home to many. Her commitment to her work was not merely a career but a calling, one that she embraced with open arms and a full heart.
Janet's personal life was equally rich and fulfilling. She was the devoted and loving wife of Timothy Lawrence, with whom she shared 14 beautiful years of marriage. Their journey together was marked by deep love, mutual respect, and shared dreams. Janet was also a wonderful mother to her three children: Sheela, married to Quimaine, Daniel, and Nik, who were her pride and joy. Her nurturing nature extended to her role as a grandmother, and she was blessed with five grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness and light into her life.
Janet's family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her siblings, Lawrence (Kim), Dana Jo, Aaron (Michelle), and Terry, shared a special bond with her, one characterized by laughter, support, and endless memories.
In accordance with Janet's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and bid her a peaceful farewell. Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the love she shared with us all and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
Janet Lawrence's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and dedication. She touched the lives of many and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the memories that will be cherished forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Janet's memory to a children's charity of your choice, ensuring that her legacy of care and compassion continues to make a difference in the lives of children, just as she did throughout her remarkable life.
