Born on July 16, 1952, in Vintondale, Pennsylvania, Janet was the treasured daughter of Rolley Findlay and Elma Michaels, who have both preceded her in death. Janet was a devoted wife, sharing 37 beautiful years with the love of her life, Dale L. Humphrey Sr., who also preceded her in passing. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, marked by countless cherished memories. She is also reunited in peace with her parents and several siblings. Janet's legacy continues through her children, who brought her immense pride and joy. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Laughman and LaWanda Perkins, along with her husband Michael, and by her sons, Dale Humphrey Jr., with his wife Candida Humphrey, and Billy McGee, alongside his partner Brandi Lum. Janet's nurturing spirit and loving guidance have further blessed her with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her compassion and kindness. Janet's warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her gentle smile, her unwavering support, and her ability to make anyone feel at home. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Janet's life will be held on September 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Davis's Funeral Home, located at 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783 and graveside service on Tuesday morning at 10 at cedar lawn 17636 W Washington St Hagerstown Md. This gathering will be a time to honor her memory and share stories of the love and laughter she brought into our lives. Janet L. Humphrey will be remembered as a remarkable woman whose legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
