Janet Ellen Wade

Janet Ellen Wade, 59, of Beach City, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026. She was born in New Orleans on May 13, 1967, to Earl “Jon” R. Swett and Verna Huwe. After her father, Jon, moved the family to Texas, Janet grew up and attended school in Kingwood. From a young age, she enjoyed traveling with her father, a passion she later shared with her husband. Janet always loved the ocean and had a deep love for animals. She was full of life and never hesitated to speak her mind. Whether it was about life, love, or politics, Janet was always willing to share her opinion and tell you exactly how she felt. Janet later moved & worked in the Baytown area, where she met her soulmate and future husband, Mitchell Wade. They were inseparable from the very beginning. He was her “Big Mitch,” and she was his “Little J.” They truly were made for each other. Janet and Mitchell were together for 25 years and married for 22½ of those years. They built a happy life together in Beach City, sharing their love of animals and the beach. Among the greatest joy & love they shared was for their German Shepherd, “Sammy Jo,” and their Pomeranian, “Jim Bob.” Janet is survived by her loving husband, Mitchell Wade of Beach City; her brother, James (Vonna) Swett of Dayton; stepdaughter, Nicole (Jeff) Mann of Dayton; stepson, Jackson Wade of Jackson, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Becky Anderson of Beach City; as well as multiple step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Cremation arrangements for Janet were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium. Janet will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
