With a heart full of love and a life rich in compassion and service, we announce the peaceful passing of Janet E. Putzier on May 21, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on October 11, 1938, in Denver, Colorado, to Frank and Sue Wolf, Janet was a beacon of warmth and kindness, touching countless lives in her journey. Janet, affectionately known as "Jan," was a graduate of the Dominican School of Nursing in Great Bend, Kansas, where she earned her credentials as a Registered Nurse. Her career spanned over 40 years, during which she dedicated herself to advocating for her patients in various departments, including labor and delivery, the burn unit, day surgery, and home health care. Her colleagues and patients alike knew her as a compassionate and competent nurse whose dedication went far beyond the call of duty. On October 8, 1959, Janet married the love of her life, Valdean Putzier, with whom she shared a beautiful life until his passing. Together, they built a loving family, raising four children: Mike (Jill) Putzier, Toni (Mark) Bradley, Debbie (Brian) Moody, and Suzan (Mike) Beran. Janet's family was her pride and joy, and her legacy lives on through her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. Janet's life was one of service and devotion, not only to her family and her career but also to her community. She volunteered her time generously, contributing to her faith community, pro-life causes, and community gardens. A Master Gardener, Janet's flower gardens were a testament to her love of nature and her meticulous care for beauty and growth. Her passion for sewing and crafts added further creativity and warmth to her home and community. Janet was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Valdean, and her siblings Bobbie, Liana, Larry, and Kathy. Her spirit, however, remains vibrant in the hearts of those she leaves behind, a testament to her enduring love and kindness. A celebration of Janet's life will be held on May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, located at 509 E. Chippewa St., Paola, KS 66071. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to My Father's House, an organization close to Janet's heart. Janet E. Putzier's life was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, unwavering faith, and boundless generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
