Janet D. Griffin-Feinberg, aged 73, of Oak Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at Tower Hill Medical Center after a long illness. Born on March 6, 1953, to the late James and Margaret Griffin, Janet's life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and the enduring power of love. Janet's early years were shaped in Oak Park, where she developed a warm and generous spirit that would touch countless lives. After graduating from Fenwick High School in Bensenville, IL, in 1971, she embarked on a career at Rich Industries. For 25 years, Janet dedicated herself to her work with diligence and grace, leaving an indelible mark on her colleagues and the community. In November of 1998, Janet married the love of her life, Philip (Brad) Feinberg. Together, they built a life filled with friendship and unwavering support, sharing 28 wonderful years of companionship that will forever remain a cherished memory. Janet's love for Brad was evident in every smile and every moment they shared, a testament to a bond that transcends time. Family meant everything to Janet. She found joy and fulfillment in spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews, and she cherished every opportunity to explore new places with them. Her vibrant spirit and infectious smile were a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. Janet is predeceased by her parents, her brother Alexander Maxwell (Jim), her nephew Kevin, and her great-nieces Shaina and Alexis. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Brad, who stood by her side with love and care, embodying the strength of their partnership. Her family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Tower Hill Medical Center, as well as to Carmen, a wonderful caregiver, and Bob, a good friend, for their exceptional care and support during Janet's final months. In honor of Janet's life and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. Janet will be remembered not only for the warmth and kindness she bestowed upon everyone she met but also for her enduring spirit and the love that continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
