It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Janet Boyd, who peacefully left this world on July 10, 2026, at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 6, 1950, in Frederick, Janet was the cherished daughter of the late James and Margaret Jones, who predeceased her. Janet dedicated 35 years of her professional life to Frederick Memorial Hospital, where she was not only a valued colleague but also a beacon of kindness and compassion. Her career was marked by her unwavering commitment to helping others, a testament to the loving and caring nature that defined her very essence. Known for her infectious smile and joyful spirit, Janet brought warmth and laughter into the lives of everyone she met. Her great personality and genuine love for others left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and the community she served. Janet had a special knack for making those around her feel cherished and understood. Janet's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her beloved children, Tracy, Cassandra, and Kurt, who were the pride of her life. Her legacy of love continues through her four grandchildren, Tyra, Shaniqua, Javya, and Melvin, and her six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her days. Janet found her happiest moments in spending time with her grandchildren and taking her great-grandchildren to the parks, where her laughter and love created countless cherished memories. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Frederick Memorial Hospital for their exceptional love and care, which will remain forever in their hearts. A service to honor and celebrate Janet's beautiful life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 199 North PI, Frederick, MD 21701. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share in the remembrance of Janet’s incredible life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations in Janet's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting the spirit of giving and kindness that she embodied throughout her life. Janet Boyd will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
